    • This artwork illustrates Maa Nanda-Sunanda, a prominent local deity of Uttarakhand. Many traditional motifs were incorporated, like the "Pahari nath" and "Pichoda" in the backdrop, a Kumaoni attire used as a head cover by married women on auspicious occasions. 

    • Kumaoni folk art of Uttarakhand called "Aipan" has been embodied. 
      During the Nandaashtami festival, Devi idols made with the Kadli (banana tree) adorned with silver jewellery. 

    • Locals in Uttarakhand refer to the twin peaks of Nanda Devi and Nanda Devi East as the goddesses Nanda Devi and Sunanda Devi, respectively.
